Pricing for professional artists
value: qualifications, personal experience, years of working/practice
exhibitions, publications, commissions etc.
local, national or international? 
calculate a daily rate of pay eg. average salary
For professional artists commission can be charged between 30-90% and tax is added at 20%

prices can rise when materials are more expensive, or peripheral costs such as transport and administration fees
value can increase the price when the artist confidence increases, status increases, might get a demand for work



Cost+Value /0.75 = price of work (this allows for commission to be taken off and still receive the base price)

value can be time taken to create the piece eg. £10 an hour
